As a Marketing & Communications Intern at SkyTeam, you'll be more than just an observer - you'll be an active contributor to the team. This internship offers hands-on experience across a variety of projects, from crafting content and supporting communications efforts to assisting with event planning and project coordination. You'll gain exposure to the day-to-day workings of a dynamic marketing team, develop practical skills, and play a meaningful role in bringing marketing initiatives to life. It’s a unique opportunity to experience the global aviation industry from the inside out. The assignments Example assignments might include, but are not limited to:

Content Creation: Drafting content (i.e. articles, newsletters, social media posts, presentations) for digital, print and live communication channels, contributing to the team’s external and internal communications

Research and Analysis: Conducting research across social media platforms, media coverage, and broader industry developments to support marketing initiatives and provide actionable insights

Event Planning: Assisting with the planning and execution of internal and external events, gaining hands-on experience with event logistics and promotion

Marketing Operations: Supporting project and process management for the marketing department by tracking requests and helping guide initiatives from briefing to execution
Your profile

English Proficiency: A high level of English proficiency, both spoken and written, is required

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as interpersonal abilities

Curiosity: You will be going on your own scavenger hunt for relevant and meaningful information; a desire to dig into topics and understand things is essential

Initiative: The ability to be a self-starter and often work independently, figuring out what tasks to do to reach a goal and delivering assigned tasks systematically without additional prompting

Detail Orientation: You care about the details and combine that with strong execution skills, delivering results and taking tasks/assignments to their full conclusion

Team Spirit: We work as a team, and would love you to fit in. This means we help each other and care personally about the others in the team.

Cross-Cultural Awareness: We thrive in an international environment and appreciate those who understand that different cultures require different approaches

Educational Background: An educational background in marketing, communications, public relations, media studies or a related field is preferred

Industry Interest: Passion for aviation or the travel industry is a plus
Must have:

You must maintain active enrollment in a university program throughout the duration of your internship

Currently residing in the Netherlands for the duration of your internship

Minimum availability of 32 hours per week, with full-time availability (40 hours per week) preferred – per September 2026

Internship fee of EUR 424 gross per month

9 vacation days to be used over the course of a 6-month internship

Travel expenses will be reimbursed (if no accessibility to OV-Studentenreisproduct)

SkyTeam uses a hybrid working model. You may be expected in the office around 2-3 days per week
