Job description

As part of Believe’s expanding publishing offer, we combine global technology with local expertise to ensure artists and writers maximize their revenue in every phase of their careers. We are looking for a Publishing Sync Manager - Europe to drive our creative licensing strategy and expand our client footprint across the continent.

Your missions will include:

European Business Development: Drive sync licensing and client acquisition across mainland Europe, ensuring retention and revenue growth through a market-leading sync proposition in our P1 territories.

Targeted Market Execution: Lead proactive pitching and commercial strategies across three primary European sectors:

Advertising and creative agencies via Amsterdam / The Netherlands.

Advertising, Domestic TV and Film production markets in Germany.

Advertising, Domestic TV and Film production markets in France.

Regional & Ad-Hoc Management: Act as the direct, dedicated point of contact for sync activities in emerging and active territories, including Scandinavia and ad-hoc licensing requests in Eastern Europe.

Executive Collaboration: Partner closely with the Heads of Publishing in Germany and France, joining key client meetings and commercial pitches to support sales leads and close new publishing business.

Catalog Exploitation: Represent and actively promote Believe's global publishing roster to European music supervisors, media networks, and brand partners, identifying secondary exploitation opportunities.

Licensing & Negotiation: Prepare competitive quotes, negotiate complex cross-border licensing agreements, and secure publishing clearances across diverse European jurisdictions.

Marketing & Showcases: Conceptualize and execute high-impact promotional activities, including client mailings, showcases, and networking events, to foster strong relationships with the European creative community

Music & Publishing Experience: Minimum of 5 years of professional experience specifically within music publishing, record labels, or dedicated music sync licensing, with a demonstrable focus on European markets.

Commercial Track Record: Proven background in revenue-generating music client acquisition, B2B sales, and closing sync licensing deals within the advertising, TV, and film industries.

Industry Network: An established, active network of music supervisors, ad agencies, and audiovisual production companies across Europe.

Technical Expertise: Deep, practical understanding of music publishing rights, copyright law, publishing clearance workflows, and sync licensing structures across diverse European territories.

Communication Skills: Outstanding negotiation and communication skills in English, combined with business fluency in German to effectively manage client relationships and drive commercial growth in our core P1 markets.
