In the role of a Senior CAD Designer you’ll focus on the mechanical design and simulation of complex systems for AR and VR glasses. By developing, modeling and optimizing optical and mechanical components, tools and fixtures using modern CAD and simulation software you are accountable for the mechanical design, prototyping and the industrialization support for the final products.

Your role

  • Design and create detailed 3D CAD models and 2D drawings for optical and precision mechanical components following company and industry norms

  • Design, simulate and optimize tool for injection molding

  • Design jigs and fixtures for assembly, alignment, testing, measuring and calibration of optical and mechatronic systems

  • Collaborate with optical designers on tolerance analysis, mounting concepts and impact of mechanical design on optical performance

  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal manufacturing to ensure feasibility, correct material selection and appropriate production processes

  • Evaluate design variants and propose optimizations for performance, cost and manufacturability

  • Support DFM / DFA reviews and implement feedback from production and quality

  • Continuously improve design guidelines, tool concepts and simulation workflows

Your profile

  • Excellent university degree in mechanical engineering, precision engineering, optical engineering, mechatronics or related field.

  • Several years of experience in the development of optomechanical systems

  • Strong track record in design methods and simulation software for injection molding tool design and their integration into robust development workflows

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with high attention to details and a structured, documentation-oriented working style
