Job description

The Manufacturing Engineering Manager is responsible for leading manufacturing engineering activities to support safe, efficient, and high‑quality production. This role drives process optimization, productivity improvement, and cost reduction while ensuring compliance with quality and operational standards.

  • Process Development and Optimization:

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes.

  • Identify areas for improvement, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.

  • Implement best practices and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

  • Team Leadership and Management:

  • Lead a team of manufacturing engineers, technicians, and other staff.

  • Assign tasks, set performance goals, and provide mentorship.

  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.

  • Product Innovation and New Product Introduction (NPI):

  • Work closely product design teams to introduce new products.

  • Evaluate feasibility, scalability, and manufacturability of new designs.

  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the product lifecycle.

  • Equipment Management:

  • Evaluate existing equipment and recommend upgrades or replacements.

  • Coordinate maintenance schedules and ensure optimal equipment performance.

  • Quality Assurance and Process Control:

  • Develop and implement quality control procedures.

  • Monitor production metrics, analyze data, and address deviations.

  • Ensure compliance with ISO, Six Sigma, or other relevant standards.

  • Cost Analysis and Budgeting:

  • Analyze production costs, material usage, and labor expenses.

  • Prepare budgets, track spending, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams.

  • Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:

  • Work closely with production, supply chain, and logistics teams.

  • Resolve production bottlenecks, supply issues, and other operational challenges.

  • Drive alignment between engineering and other departments.

Support new business pursuit activities

Support new product development (ADP, PDP) with manufacturing expertise

Support proto, DV, PV build activities

Development and implementation of new manufacturing lines/processes

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or related field

  • Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, with at least 5 years in a managerial role

  • Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing principles, process optimization, and quality management

  • Proficiency in CAD software, statistical analysis tools, and project management.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills

 

SKILLS  

  • Self-motivated with a strong and flexible attitude towards work

  • Ability to communicate at all levels

  • Excellent attention to detail and meeting customers’ requirements

  • Ability to work under pressure and to deadlines when required

  • The ability to prioritize and organize own workload
