Job Description Summary • The Head of HR-Forging Europe (m/w/d) is responsible for leading and executing the Human Resources strategy across all Forgings operations in Europe. This position provides end to end HR leadership for manufacturing plants and regional functions, partnering closely with senior business leaders to drive organizational, operational, and workforce priorities.
• The position oversees HR activities in union and non union environments, ensures compliance with all applicable labor laws and employment regulations, and delivers consistent and effective HR solutions across the region
NOTE: this position can be filled in either Langen, Germany or in Legazpi/Zumaya, Spain
Job Description:

Partner with the Head of Operations and regional leadership to align HR strategy with business objectives and operational priorities.

Provide end-to-end HR leadership across European manufacturing plants and regional functions, operating effectively in union and non-union environments.

Lead regional workforce strategies encompassing talent acquisition, onboarding, development, performance management, succession planning, and retention, in collaboration with HR Centers of Excellence.

Direct employee and labor relations activities, including union engagement, collective bargaining strategy, contract administration, and resolution of employee and labor disputes.

Ensure compliance with European labor laws, employment regulations, and collective bargaining agreements; monitor regulatory changes and advise leadership on required actions.

Build strong partnerships with plant managers and operations leaders to promote engagement, workforce stability, and positive employee relations.

Use workforce analytics and key HR metrics to inform organizational, operational, and financial decision-making related to productivity, quality, safety, engagement, and turnover.

Lead organizational design, change management, and workforce transition initiatives supporting growth, restructuring, or operational transformation.

Oversee regional HR financial planning, including workforce forecasting, budget management, variance analysis, and action planning.

Ensure effective execution of enterprise HR programs and regional initiatives, including oversight of Plant HR Managers and special projects aligned with business priorities.
Required Skills and Education

Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred

Minimum of 7 years of progressive HR leadership experience, preferably in manufacturing or industrial environments

International or multi‑country HR leadership experience preferred

Demonstrated experience supporting both unionized and non‑union plants

Multi‑site, plant‑focused HR leadership experience

Knowledge of European labor laws,employment regulations, and labor relations practices

Experience operating effectively in a matrixed organizational environment

Strong oral and written language competence in German or Spanish with English
