Job Description Summary Dauch is hiring a Commercial and Market Intelligence Analyst. This position can sit in any of the following locations: Germany (Bonn or Langen), Italy (Bruneck or Milan) or UK (London or Solihull).
The main purpose of the role as Commercial & Market Intelligence Analyst is to support senior leadership by delivering structured, data-driven insights across market, customer, and commercial topics to inform strategic and operational decision-making. The role focuses on transforming complex data into clear conclusions, supporting the identification and evaluation of growth opportunities, and contributing to strategic initiatives across business units.
The position combines market insight, commercial intelligence, and strategic analysis, working closely with cross-functional teams across regions to strengthen the company’s competitive positioning.
The Commercial & Market Intelligence Analyst reports to the Head of Strategy (or relevant senior leader). The role is primarily an individual contributor, working closely with cross-functional teams such as Sales, Finance, as well as Corporate Strategy and Business Line operational teams. The role has high visibility and exposure to the Senior Leadership Team and the preparation for either growing into a Strategy Manger role in the next step.
Job Description:
Market Intelligence

Provide a structured and data-driven view of Global automotive and industrial markets.

Analyze regional market dynamics, competitor activities, customer trends, and other key developments. Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights to support commercial and strategic decisions.
Commercial Analytics & Performance Tracking
- Support business units by analyzing sales performance, margins, pricing strategies, and customer segmentation. Develop and maintain models, dashboards, and reports to track key commercial KPIs and identify opportunities and risks.
Strategic Planning & Business Partnering

Support the Global Strategic Planning process and selected specific strategic initiatives by providing structured, fact-based analysis.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams across regions to gather inputs, ensure alignment, and contribute to business planning, market assessments, and growth initiatives.
Opportunity Identification & Evaluation
- Support the identification and evaluation of growth opportunities, including new markets, customer segments, and potential partnerships. Contribute analytical input to business cases, including market assessment, competitor landscape, and financial considerations. Support selected activities related to M&A screening and commercial due diligence where relevant.

Data & Analytical Foundation

Collect, structure, and validate data from multiple internal and external sources.

Ensure consistency, transparency, and reliability of data across analyses.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytical tools, models, and processes.
Required Skills and Education
-
University degree in economics, business administration, industrial engineering, or a related field

2-3 years’ experience in strategy, market intelligence, or commercial analytics (or a combination of industry and consulting)

Experience in automotive, industrial goods, or technology industries is a plus

Highly structured and analytical thinker with strong problem-solving skills

Curious and proactive mindset, with a strong willingness to learn

Experience supporting strategic decision-making and senior stakeholders

Data analysis and modelling capabilities (e.g. Excel, BI tools)

Strong presentation and communication skills, both written and verbal

Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior audiences

Commercial mindset with understanding of pricing, margins, and market dynamics

Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.

Confident in interacting with senior stakeholders and influencing without formal authority

Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills
