The position

Hottinger Brüel & Kjær GmbH (HBK) is currently looking for a Supply Chain & SIOP Manager (m/f/d) for our production facility based in Darmstadt, Germany.

In this role, you are responsible for leading the end‑to‑end supply chain and the SIOP (Sales, Inventory & Operations Planning) process to secure reliable customer delivery, optimized inventory, and effective planning across the business.

The role oversees key processes including inventory management, demand and supply balancing, global logistics, order fulfilment, capacity planning, and operational alignment between local sites, global functions (GlobalCustomerCare, GlobalOrderManagement), and cross‑functional partners.

It is a strategic and operational leadership role with significant cross‑functional impact across HBK’s global supply chain organisation.

Primary responsibilities

Your focus will be on the following:

SIOP Leadership

Lead the end‑to‑end SIOP process, ensuring alignment of demand, supply, and inventory at local levels. Produce capacity plans, identify gaps, and drive mitigation actions with GlobalCustomerCare/GlobalOrderManagement and manufacturing Enable structured prioritization and risk management in collaboration with functional stakeholders.

Supply Chain Strategy & Performance

Drive supply chain strategy, performance, maturity, and optimization across functions.

Ensure inventory management excellence, including optimal stock levels, healthy inventory, and provisioning governance.

Logistics & Order Fulfilment

Oversee global logistics operating models from inventory to customer delivery. Ensure efficient, compliant import/export processes and logistics best practices. Secure timely and accurate customer order fulfilment across the value chain.

Operational Execution

Identify and resolve operational challenges in the short‑term horizon (M+0 to M+3). Manage exceptions, claims, and customer/supplier issues in alignment with policies.

Cross‑functional Collaboration

Partner with R&D, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Global Customer Care, Trade Compliance, IT, Finance, and Commercial teams to optimize end‑to‑end processes. Support standardization of global business processes.

People Leadership

Lead and develop the local Supply Chain & SIOP team consisting of planning & logistics by ensuring the right capabilities, mindset, and performance culture. Strengthen collaboration, communication, and continuous improvement within local organization and based on global guidelines.

Professional qualifications

You ideally hold several of the following:

Solid experience in supply chain management, including planning, logistics, and inventory optimization.

Proven expertise in leading SIOP/IBP processes at local or global scale.

Strong understanding of ERP and planning systems (SAP, IBP) and data‑driven decision making.

Demonstrated ability to operate in matrix organizations and collaborate across multiple functions and geographies.

Personal skills

Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities and operational discipline.

Excellent communicator who builds alignment across diverse internal and external partners.

Proactive problem solver with high resilience and ability to navigate ambiguity.

Strong leadership skills, fostering collaboration, empowerment, and continuous improvement.

Adaptability and openness to change, including adoption of digital tools and process standardization.

The expected salary range for this position is €80,000–€110,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
