Full Stack Engineer

About the Role

We are looking for a Full Stack Engineer with strong backend engineering and system design experience to join a team building enterprise-grade AI-enabled solutions within a banking environment.

This is a backend-focused Full Stack role suited to an engineer who can design secure, scalable, and reliable applications involving APIs, microservices, asynchronous processing, distributed workflows, and modern frontend technologies.

The successful candidate will contribute to complex AI-enabled solutions involving multiple services, data sources, and intelligent components supporting business-critical processes and decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop secure, scalable, and high-performance full stack applications with a strong focus on backend engineering.
• Build robust REST APIs and backend services for complex enterprise and AI-enabled workflows.
• Design microservices and distributed system architectures with reliable service-to-service communication.
• Develop asynchronous and event-driven workflows for long-running and multi-step processes.
• Support orchestration and communication across backend services, AI components, document-processing services, and internal or external systems.
• Implement reliable processing patterns including idempotency, retries, timeout handling, failure recovery, and duplicate-request prevention.
• Design and optimize data models across SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Implement scalable caching strategies using Redis or similar technologies.
• Build secure authentication and authorization mechanisms across APIs and microservices.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and observability capabilities to ensure production reliability.
• Develop and maintain modern frontend applications and dashboards as part of end-to-end product delivery.
• Collaborate with AI engineers, DevOps engineers, platform teams, architects, and business stakeholders.

Required Skills & Experience

• 6+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong hands-on experience in Full Stack development with significant backend engineering responsibilities.
• Strong experience with Node.js, TypeScript, and backend frameworks such as Express.js or NestJS.
• Hands-on frontend experience with React.js, Next.js, or similar modern frameworks.
• Strong experience designing and developing RESTful APIs.
• Solid understanding of API design, idempotency, validation, error handling, and secure transaction processing.
• Strong experience with microservices and distributed systems.
• Experience with asynchronous processing, messaging, and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Azure Service Bus, AWS SQS/SNS, or equivalent technologies.
• Strong experience with SQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL, or SQL Server.
• Experience with NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or equivalent.
• Strong understanding of database design, indexing, query optimization, and large-volume data processing.
• Hands-on experience with Redis or similar distributed caching technologies.
• Strong understanding of authentication and authorization patterns such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, JWT, mTLS, or equivalent.
• Good understanding of retries, timeouts, failure handling, resilience, and high-availability patterns.
• Experience with monitoring, logging, and production troubleshooting.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and system design skills.

Preferred Experience

• Exposure to Generative AI, LLM-based applications, or AI-enabled enterprise solutions.
• Experience integrating backend applications with AI services or intelligent document-processing solutions.
• Exposure to Agentic AI or multi-agent workflows is highly desirable but not mandatory.
• Understanding of dynamic workflow orchestration, tool calling, state management, or planner/executor patterns is a strong advantage.
• Experience with cloud-native and containerized environments using Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift.
• Experience in banking, fintech, payments, Open Banking, Open Finance, credit, risk, or other regulated enterprise environments.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a strong software engineer who can go beyond feature development and confidently design systems for scale, security, reliability, and failure recovery.

The ideal candidate combines strong backend and distributed systems expertise with modern frontend capabilities and an interest in building next-generation enterprise AI applications. Direct Agentic AI experience is a strong advantage, but strong software engineering fundamentals, system design capabilities, and the ability to work with new and evolving AI technologies are equally important.

Pay: AED17,000.00 - AED21,000.00 per month
