Job description

About Us STARK is a new kind of defence technology company revolutionising the way autonomous systems are deployed across multiple domains. We design, develop, and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are software-defined, mass-scalable, and cost-effective. This provides our operators with a decisive edge in highly contested environments.

We are focused on delivering deployable, high-performance systems, not future promises. In a time of rising threats, STARK is bolstering the technological edge of NATO Allies and their Partners to deter aggression and defend Europe today.

Your mission We are looking for a designer who understands that typography, layout, motion, and hierarchy are structural tools. Someone who can build, maintain, and scale a precise brand design system and is equally comfortable making things.

Brand is a system. Not decoration.

We build advanced autonomous defence systems. It is a world of uncompromising hardware, AI-driven software, and a strictly operator-focused approach. Our work bridges the physical and the digital, requiring a brand system that feels as precise on a machined piece of equipment as it does in a digital interface.

If your design philosophy is "less, but better"—if you are fascinated by creative tech, appreciate the precise livery on industrial gear and tools, and think about brand far beyond flat 2D screen let’s have a conversation.

Portfolio must demonstrate typographic discipline, systematic brand work, and visual thinking across different scales.

Responsibilities

Design within and evolve a brand system

Create clear typographic hierarchies and disciplined layouts

Translate complex ideas into structured visual communication

Build templates, assets, and reusable components

Produce motion, visualizations, and presentations that explain technology

Design across scales — from brand assets to installation visuals

You:

Think in grids, ratios, and systems

Are typography-obsessed

Care about precision, spacing, alignment

Are a hands-on maker

Enjoy technology, engineering, and complex products

Use motion and visualization to explain how things work

Prefer clarity over decoration

This is probably not for you if:

You want to manage, not make: This is a hands-on role. If your goal is to delegate to an agency, sit in review meetings, and art-direct from afar, you will be frustrated here.

You rely on pre-packaged templates: We build systems from the ground up. If your workflow relies heavily on Canva, Envato, or out-of-the-box asset libraries, this isn't the right environment.

You view design purely as marketing: We love growth, but you are not here to only churn out quick performance-marketing banners. You are here to build structural, lasting brand foundations.

You are purely an illustrator/decorator: If you prefer adding flair and embellishment rather than stripping things down to their most functional, grid-based forms, our "less is more" philosophy will clash with your style.

Qualifications

Figma, Adobe, AI

After Effects, Blender, Cinema4D, Spline.

Grids, ratios, and an obsessive eye for type

Nice to have:

Experience with tools like: Unreal, Blender, Houdini, etc.
