Job description

About Us STARK is a new kind of defence technology company revolutionising the way autonomous systems are deployed across multiple domains. We design, develop, and manufacture high-performance unmanned systems that are software-defined, mass-scalable, and cost-effective — providing operators with a decisive edge in contested environments.

We are focused on delivering deployable, high-performance systems — not future promises. In a time of rising threats, STARK is bolstering the technological edge of NATO Allies and their Partners to deter aggression and defend Europe, today.

Your mission You'll make flight test campaigns actually happen, turning engineering readiness, range availability, and a maze of permits into a schedule that holds. As STARK's flight test cadence increases across our CUAS program, you'll be the person who keeps test sites, ground crews, and approvals moving in sync, with Germany as the operational hub and the rest of Europe in scope when a campaign needs it. This role exists because flight testing only creates value when the aircraft actually gets in the air on schedule.

Responsibilities

Plan and coordinate flight test campaigns across multiple programs, aligning schedules with engineering readiness, range availability, and safety sign-off.

Own the logistics chain for test execution: range bookings, airspace clearances (NOTAMs), and regulatory approvals across German and other European test sites.

Act as the central coordination point between flight test engineers, systems/payload teams, ground crew, and safety officers before and during campaigns.

Track and escalate schedule risks and blockers to program leadership in terms they can act on, not just status updates, but decisions they need to make.

Coordinate equipment, personnel, and ground support transport to and from test sites across Europe.

Run pre-test readiness checks and post-test debriefs, capturing action items and lessons learned so they actually get fixed before the next campaign.

Maintain working relationships with external test ranges, civil aviation authorities, and host-nation contacts to keep access reliable as activity scales.

Build and maintain the checklists, templates, and processes that let flight test coordination scale without everything running through institutional memory.

Qualifications

Experience coordinating technical field operations, test campaigns, or similarly logistics-heavy activities, aviation, aerospace, defence, or motorsport backgrounds all transfer.

Working knowledge of European airspace regulations, NOTAM processes, and UAS/aircraft test permitting — or a demonstrated ability to pick it up fast.

Comfortable operating as the hub between multiple technical and non-technical stakeholders under real time pressure.

Strong organizational instincts, with the ability to absorb last-minute schedule changes without losing track of dependencies.

Willingness to travel regularly across Europe, including extended stretches at test sites.

Professional English, German or any other European language will considered a plus

Execution-focused mindset: solves logistics problems on-site, doesn't just flag them and wait.

Nice to have

Direct experience on UAS or manned aircraft flight campaigns.

Existing relationships with German test ranges, civil aviation authorities (e.g. LBA), or host-nation test infrastructure.

Background in safety/range operations or test QA.

Experience scaling test operations as program cadence ramps up.
