Job description

Royal Joinery has its own dedicated Factory to assist clients on high-profile projects that require international expertise and a degree of workmanship that eliminates the need to source sub-contractors and third-party furniture suppliers. Our primary focus is on carpentry and woodwork specialties across a wide variety of projects and sectors through the delivery of sophisticated qualified experts in their field and innovative techniques and equipment.

As The Production Engineer at Royal Wood Factory, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the entire production process within the joinery, wood factory, and fit-out. This includes planning, organizing, developing, and coordinating the production activities to ensure timely and high-quality delivery of wood products and fit-out solutions.

Production Planning and Coordination

Assist in planning and scheduling production activities based on project requirements and delivery deadlines.

Monitor workflow and production progress to ensure targets are achieved.

Process Optimization

Analyze production processes and recommend improvements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.

Implement best practices and lean manufacturing techniques where applicable.

Resource Management

Coordinate manpower, machinery, materials, and tools to ensure smooth production operations.

Monitor machine utilization and production capacity.

Quality Control

Ensure all products comply with approved drawings, specifications, and quality standards.

Coordinate with the Quality team to address non-conformities and implement corrective actions.

Technical Support

Review production drawings and provide technical guidance to the factory team.

Resolve production-related technical issues and support troubleshooting activities

Cost Control

Monitor material consumption and production efficiency.

Identify opportunities for cost reduction without compromising quality.

Reporting and Documentation

Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production reports.

Maintain accurate production records and performance data.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITIES

Plan and monitor daily production activities to meet project schedules.

Coordinate with design, procurement, and production teams to ensure material and drawing availability.

Review production drawings and specifications before manufacturing.

Monitor machine performance and production output.

Support production supervisors in achieving daily production targets.

Conduct production analysis and recommend process improvements.

Ensure compliance with quality standards and project requirements.

Investigate and resolve production delays, technical issues, and bottlenecks.

Assist in implementing preventive maintenance schedules for machinery and equipment.

Prepare production progress reports and performance metrics for management review.

Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, quality, and operational efficiency.

Requirements:

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE

Experience in a Joinery company is a must.

At least 5 years relevant experience in a similar role, preferably

Provide leadership, guidance, and direction to production supervisors and teams.

Set performance expectations, conduct performance evaluations, and provide coaching as needed.

Foster a collaborative and high-performance work culture within the production department.

TECHNICAL KSAs/ CERTIFICATIONS,EDUCATION ETC.

A  degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field

Expertise in woodworking machinery, equipment, and tool's

Certification in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or related methodologies is advantageous.

Proficiency in CAD software for design evaluation and production planning.

Exceptional leadership, team management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.

Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously
