To strengthen our Finance Unit within the Finance Systems area, we are looking for a

Senior Application Specialist (f/m/d) Finance Systems

Hybrid in Cologne or remote in Berlin | Full-time | Permanent Contract

Responsible for the operation, administration, and continuous improvement of finance-related applications, including ERP, reporting, and spend management systems

Collaborate closely with Finance, IT, and external service providers to ensure stable and efficient business processes

Analyze, prioritize, and resolve incidents, system issues, and user requests within daily operations

Develop and implement improvements to enhance system performance, data quality, and user experience

Optimize application configurations, integrations, and finance-related processes

Support system upgrades, patches, integrations, and compliance with IT security and regulatory requirements

Enable and support end users through training, knowledge sharing, and best-practice guidance

Knowledge and best practice sharing in the team

Requirements:

Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a comparable qualification

At least 5 years of experience in IT Application Management, Application Support, or business-critical system operations, ideally within a finance environment

Strong understanding of finance processes, including accounting, controlling, and financial reporting

Experience with finance applications such as Yokoy, TravelPerk, LucaNet, Kendox, or similar solutions is a plus

Knowledge of IT Service Management frameworks and structured support processes, ideally ITIL

Experience with IT audits, internal controls (ICS), or compliance requirements (e.g., GoBD) is a plus

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a hands-on and pragmatic approach

Excellent communication skills and fluency in English and in best case also in German
