Job description

  • Lead refinement sessions and sprint planning together with the development team

  • Own and define requirements, epics, and user stories with a strong product mindset

  • Manage and align with stakeholders across domains (e.g. sales, productmanagement, partners)

  • Evaluate and structure incoming requirements, balancing business needs and product vision

  • Set and continuously adjust team priorities in line with strategic goals

  • Confidently handle mid-sprint changes while maintaining delivery stability

  • Take ownership of release planning and communicate timelines transparently

  • Provide clear and structured updates to senior management and stakeholders

  • Highlight achievements, risks, and trade-offs to ensure transparency and informed decisions

  • Collaborate closely with QA to define test scenarios and ensure customer sign-off

  • Ensure high-quality, consistent, and understandable product documentation

  • Actively incorporate user feedback into product decisions and roadmap planning

  • Co-lead the team together with the Team Lead in a close and collaborative setup

  • 5+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, or in a comparable role

  • Knowledge in Traffic Domain or strong interest in mobility, traffic systems, smart cities, or similar environments

  • A bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent

  • Strong understanding of Agile principles and hands-on experience managing backlogs and sprints

  • Product mindset: You take ownership beyond “just PO tasks” and avoid silo thinking

  • Experience working in complex software environments (ideally cloud-based systems)

  • Solid technical understanding and affinity (no deep engineering expertise required)

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills across different levels and regions

  • Ability to translate complex, regional requirements into clear and actionable product features

  • Assertiveness and strong argumentation skills when prioritizing and making decisions

  • Clear customer and user focus in all product decisions

  • Proven team player with a collaborative and proactive mindset

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence

  • Fluent in English (written and spoken), German is a plus, other languages are appreciated
