Senior Project Engineer (Chinese Native Speaker)

Advanced Formwork Co. Ltd (Doka) is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Senior Project Engineer (Chinese) to join its versatile team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role is pivotal in supporting projects with Chinese contractors and requires a strong background in formwork design, structural analysis, and project coordination.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting projects with Chinese construction companies, delivering efficient and safe formwork engineering solutions from concept through execution. The position requires strong expertise in AutoCAD-based formwork design, structural analysis, and close technical coordination with clients, consultants, and Doka’s internal teams, both locally and internationally.

This role is ideal for a Chinese national engineer who is comfortable working in a multicultural Middle East environment, able to communicate confidently in Mandarin and English, The position offers professional growth with a globally reputed company that values collaboration, performance, and long-term development.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyse structural drawings given by clients and consultants

• Develop formwork concepts and engineering solutions in line with project requirements, safety standards, and company systems

• Special formwork design in AutoCAD

• Create formwork design for customer presentations

• Propose the most economical and best technical solution

• Conduct basic static calculations and advanced structural analysis

• Produce material list, offer drawings and shop drawings

• Assist Sales Engineers with site visits and client presentation

• Prepare and present formwork solutions to clients, including technical explanations and value engineering proposals.

• Coordinate the timely delivery of shop drawings as per instructions

• Coordinate with clients for technical issues

• Coordination with other involved departments

• Consideration of availability of material in the design stage

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Civil Engineering, or a related technical discipline

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (2D & 3D) for formwork design.

• Revit knowledge is an advantage

• At least 5 years of intensive experience in formwork engineering (and statics)

• Chinese National with excellent verbal and written communication skills in Mandarin.

• Good working proficiency in English for technical documentation and coordination

• Strong analytical thinking with high attention to detail.

• Ability to work under minimal supervision and manage a project and its internal and external stakeholders

• Ability to make decisions, take responsibility, delegate and deliver presentations

• Eager to learn and improve knowledge and skills

• Show adaptability, is open to change and able to manage it

• Thorough understanding of our business model and cross-functional collaboration

• Understanding of logistics and contract management
