Junior Structural Engineer

Nova International General Contracting LLC is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Structural Engineer to support the structural design, review, coordination, and execution of building construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing the structural shop drawings and ensuring structural works are completed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, local authority regulations, and international engineering standards while collaborating closely with project teams to deliver high-quality projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare reinforcement shop drawings and Bar Bending Schedules (BBS).

• Assist in reviewing structural drawings, calculations, and technical specifications.

• Assist in preparing technical reports, calculations, and material submittals.

• Monitor structural works to ensure compliance with approved drawings and quality standards.

• Participate in site inspections and help resolve technical issues.

• Ensure compliance with project specifications, UAE regulations, and safety standards.

• Support project execution, consultant submissions, and authority approvals.

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering with specialization in Structural Engineering.

• 1–3 years of relevant experience in structural engineering within contracting companies in the UAE.

• Experience in reinforced concrete and structural steel works.

• Familiarity with UAE construction practices, authority regulations, and project execution.

• Proficiency in structural engineering software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, SAP2000, or similar.

• Proficient in AutoCAD; knowledge of Revit is an advantage.

• Good understanding of construction methodologies and site coordination.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced project environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working on residential, commercial, mixed-use, or villa projects.

• Membership in a recognized engineering institution is an advantage.

• UAE driving license is preferred.
