Job description
YOUR MISSION & CHALLENGES
As a hands-on Electrical Engineer, you will bridge the gap between electronics and software development, plant engineering, and production – with the goal of continuously advancing the electrical and electronic manufacturing and testing landscape of our robotic systems while enabling increasingly automated assembly processes.
Your Objective: To design and further develop the electrical systems, electronics, measurement technology, and testing systems of our cognitive and humanoid robots, as well as all production-relevant equipment, ensuring they are operationally safe, efficient, compliant with standards, and suitable for series production.
Your main tasks include:
-
Develop electrical equipment, test adapters, and automated test and measurement systems required for the manufacturing of humanoid robotic systems.
-
Design and implement electrical components, cable harnesses, circuit diagrams, wiring plans, and the associated eCAD documentation in compliance with relevant standards.
-
Implement electrical modifications and adjustments to ensure assembly efficiency, testability, safety, and stability in series production.
-
Support production during commissioning, troubleshooting, and validation of new electrical equipment, test benches, and plant components.
-
Further develop testing, measurement, and diagnostic concepts, including automated test sequences and end-of-line (EOL) testing.
-
Collaborate closely with electronics, software, and plant engineering teams to ensure electrical requirements, regulatory compliance, and technical feasibility within production.
-
Standardize and modularize electrical equipment and test systems to enable production scalability and automation.
WHAT WE CAN LOOK FORWARD TO
-
A completed Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or a related field.
-
Professional experience in the development and optimization of electrical, electronic, or mechatronic systems – ideally in a series-production-oriented environment.
-
Proficiency in eCAD systems and familiarity with PLM systems.
-
A solid understanding of manufacturing processes, measurement and testing technology, EMC/ESD protection, and safety and certification requirements.
-
A strong hands-on mentality with a focus on practical, robust solutions.
-
A structured, quality-driven, and solution-oriented working style.
-
Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in interdisciplinary project teams.
-
Excellent written and spoken German and English skills.
