As we scale our engineering organization, maintaining the rock-solid reliability of our live core engine is paramount. This will be your mission as Head of Business Continuity.

Your team provides the high-performance operational runway that enables our rapid growth. As we evolve and scale, your role is to ensure the continued reliability of the live platform that keeps our biggest retail clients successful every day. This requires deep engineering judgment, exceptional operational leadership, and a calm and clear communication style.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Team Leadership & Coaching: Drive performance management, hiring, 1-on-1s, and development for your team of 8 engineers. Foster a culture of quality and operational accountability.

• Process Ownership & Quality Control: Establish framework guardrails, control delivery, verify quality, and enforce strict engineering standards using modern tooling.

• Technical Strategy & Architecture: Own the technical roadmap for the live platform, make sound system design trade-offs, write Architecture Decision Records (ADRs), and prioritize technical debt.

• Cross-Functional Stakeholder Management: Partner closely with Commercial leaders and Campaign Management to translate technical realities into business language.

• Hands-on Technical Oversight: Conduct critical code reviews, lead incident response, and drive critical bug resolution or technical debt triage.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

• 8+ years of total software engineering experience, incl. 4+ years in engineering leadership, directly managing frontend and/or backend engineering teams.

• You maintain absolute composure and clear, structured thinking when multiple operational issues arise simultaneously.

• You hold yourself and your team to a high technical bar, and you see very high standards on platform integrity as non-negotiable.

• You are comfortable navigating and guiding engineering roadmaps in a growth environment.

• You bring hands-on experience or deep technical comfort with TypeScript, PHP, Snowflake, AWS, and GitLab CI/CD.

• You have experience implementing and utilizing code quality tools such as SonarQube and Cypress, and documenting decisions through ADRs.

• Ideally you have domain expertise in AdTech / MarTech and high-complexity SaaS products

• You feel comfortable working in a remote-first environment
