Mandai Wildlife Group is the steward of Mandai Wildlife Reserve, a unique wildlife and nature destination in Singapore that is home to world-renown wildlife parks which connect visitors to the fascinating world of wildlife. The Group is driving an exciting rejuvenation plan at Mandai Wildlife Reserve, adjacent to Singapore’s Central Catchment Nature Reserve, that will integrate five wildlife parks with distinctive nature-based experiences, green public spaces and an eco-friendly resort.

We have an ambitious growth plan, targeting a multi-fold increase in revenue, and are looking for a driven and action-oriented business leader to play a central role in shaping the Group’s B2B and B2C marketing strategy.

Reporting to the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer, the appointed candidate shall be responsible for the planning and implementation of business strategy as well as leading MICE and Corporate Sales team. The role is critical in driving the growth through strategic partnership, corporate engagements and event-based opportunities. is the ideal candidate will possess strong market knowledge, including local and the competitive landscape, and will play a pivoted role in building brand awareness for Mandai Wildlife Reserves as a leading destination, especially in support of our upcoming developments. For a long-term commercial sustainability, the candidate is also expected to cultivate and grow strong client relationship and partnerships to both revenue and engagement outcomes.

This is a key leadership position of considerable breadth and complexity, and will require a combination of strategic, out-of-the-box thinking, and numeracy, the ability to plan and present as well as execute well with the ability to communicate and collaborate across organisational boundaries.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop business development strategy around the Mandai Wildlife Reserve revenue and visitorship goals and purpose for the following revenue streams: Corporate Products and MICE.

  • Develop effective MICE strategies to position Mandai as a venue of choice and increase overall venue utilization.

  • Maximise all conference and events revenue opportunities.

  • Lead a passionate team to deliver on the business development strategy, arranging and participating in internal and external client meeting, and ensuring that the business strategy and corresponding initiatives are aligned with the Mandai Wildlife Reserve strategic goals.

  • Lead pre-opening and operations, ensure a smooth pre-opening and lead the teams to successful event execution and profitability.

  • Plan and supervise execution of various MICE events to ensure smooth events execution.

  • Analyse market trends and competitor activity.

  • Track and optimise performance, maintain sales records, and identify areas for improvement.

  • Report and forecast:

    • To work with the team to submit monthly reports and analysis to the Chief Sales and Marketing Officer.
    • To ensure data is accurately entered and managed within the Company's CRM or other sales management system.
    • To work with team to forecast sales targets and ensure they are met by the team.
    • To track and record activity on accounts and enable team to close deals to meet these targets.
  • Research the latest business trend to identify new opportunities that translate into actionable follow-up.

  • Budget management:

    • To oversee and manage the team's finance matters in budgeting and procurement.
    • To monitor department's budget and expenses.
  • In addition to leading a team, the role entails an individual target of revenue contribution.

  • Minimum degree holder with minimum 8 to 10 years of relevant work experience in Corporate Sales/ Business Development / Partnership.
