Associate

We are looking for a passionate, curious and driven Associate to be a part of our Banking team in Singapore. Reporting to the Partners, in this role, you will be drafting and negotiating a wide range of facility documentation across all fields of banking and finance such as leverage buy outs, acquisition financing, syndicated lending and structured trade finance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drafting and negotiating finance documentation, demonstrating familiarity with the latest trends, precedents and market standards
• Providing sound commercial and legal advice to clients
• Acting for borrowers and lenders
• Supervising, managing and mentoring junior lawyers in the team; leading by example and being a strong team player
• Networking with clients and other market players alike, in order to capitalize on new business opportunities
• Contributing know-how and experience to the team
• Communicating assertively when under pressure and being a proactive team player

Key Requirements:

• Excellent academic credentials
• NQ to 4 PQE (on the UK scale)
• Fluency in English, both verbal and written
• Proficiency in additional Asian languages is preferred, given the role’s client-facing work across Asia
• Experience within a top tier firm would have an added advantage
• Strong networking and organizational skills
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills
