Site Supervision Electrical Engineer

Job Title: Site Supervision Electrical Engineer Company: GEO Global Engineering Consultants Location: Dubai, UAE Employment Type: Full-Time GEO Global Engineering Consultants is seeking a qualified and experienced Site Supervision Electrical Engineer to join its supervision team in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and inspecting electrical works at project sites, ensuring full compliance with approved designs, project specifications, authority requirements, quality standards, and contractual obligations.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and inspect all electrical works executed by contractors on site, including LV power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, earthing, lightning protection, fire alarm, ELV, and low-current systems.
• Ensure that all electrical installations are carried out in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, contract documents, local authority requirements, and applicable international standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor workmanship, material quality, installation methods, and compliance with approved project requirements.
• Issue site observation reports, non-conformance reports, and corrective action requests where electrical works do not comply with approved standards or specifications.
• Coordinate with the Resident Engineer, Project Manager, MEP engineers, architects, structural engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and client representatives to resolve technical and coordination issues.
• Monitor the contractor’s progress and ensure that electrical works are completed in accordance with the approved project schedule.
• Review and recommend approval of electrical material samples, equipment data sheets, technical catalogues, and manufacturer compliance documents.
• Inspect electrical materials and equipment delivered to site to ensure compliance with approved material submittals and project specifications.
• Witness and verify testing and commissioning activities for electrical systems, including insulation resistance testing, continuity testing, functional testing, load testing, and system integration testing.
• Review testing and commissioning reports, as-built drawings, operation and maintenance manuals, warranties, and handover documentation.
• Attend project meetings, technical coordination meetings, progress meetings, and site meetings as required.
• Ensure proper coordination between electrical works and other disciplines, including civil, architectural, mechanical, plumbing, fire protection, and ICT systems.
• Assist with final inspections, snagging, de-snagging, completion certification, and handover activities.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly site reports, including progress updates, quality observations, technical issues, and recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with project health, safety, environmental, and quality requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university
• .Minimum of 3–5 years of relevant experience in electrical site supervision, preferably with an engineering consultancy firm
• .Proven experience in supervising electrical works for residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, educational, mixed-use, high-rise, or infrastructure projects
• .UAE or GCC experience is preferred
• .Familiarity with local authority requirements, including DEWA, Dubai Civil Defence, Dubai Municipality, and other relevant authorities
