Server Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Server Engineer with a strong background in HPE server infrastructure to support a customer engagement in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in HPE server deployment, SCCM administration, backup and recovery solutions, and enterprise server support.

This is a 6-month onsite contract where the selected candidate will work closely with the customer’s IT team to deploy, maintain, troubleshoot, and support enterprise server infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, and maintain HPE server infrastructure.
• Perform remote server deployment and implementation activities.
• Administer and manage Microsoft SCCM for operating system deployment, software distribution, patch management, and endpoint management.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows Server environments.
• Monitor server health and perform preventive maintenance.
• Manage backup and recovery solutions to ensure business continuity.
• Troubleshoot hardware, operating system, storage, and server-related issues.
• Coordinate server upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure implementations.
• Perform firmware, BIOS, and driver upgrades on HPE servers.
• Work with customer teams to resolve technical issues within agreed SLAs.
• Maintain technical documentation, deployment reports, and operational procedures.
• Support server performance optimization and capacity planning.

Required Skills & Experience

• 4+ years of experience as a Server Engineer or Infrastructure Engineer.
• Strong hands-on experience with HPE ProLiant Servers and HPE server management tools.
• Experience with Microsoft SCCM (Configuration Manager) administration and management.
• Hands-on experience with Windows Server Administration.
• Experience with backup and recovery solutions.
• Knowledge of server deployment, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Familiarity with RAID configuration, firmware upgrades, and server hardware diagnostics.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Knowledge of virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V is preferred.
• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• HPE Certifications (preferred)
• Microsoft Certifications (preferred)
• Experience supporting enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Previous onsite customer support experience.
