  • Strategic Media Leadership

o Act as a trusted strategic advisor to the Public Relations Director on media positioning, reputational risks, and emerging media trends impacting the healthcare sector.

o Identify strategic storytelling opportunities that strengthen Dubai Health’s positioning as an integrated academic health system and a trusted public institution.

  • Media Relations & Thought Leadership

o Own and manage high-level relationships with Tier-1 local, regional, and international media, editors-in-chief, senior journalists, and broadcast producers.

o Proactively support the positioning of Dubai Health leaders and subject-matter experts as credible thought leaders through interviews, op-eds, expert commentary, and exclusive features.

o Lead the pitching of complex, high-impact stories, including policy initiatives, clinical excellence, innovation, research, and humanitarian programs.

  • Executive & Spokesperson Enablement

o Provide end-to-end media advisory support to executives and designated spokespeople, including strategic messaging, interview framing, narrative development, and risk assessment.

o Draft and oversee executive-level briefing packs, Q&A documents, scenario-based messaging, and reactive holding statements.

o Support coaching of spokespeople on media confidence, clarity, and consistency, ensuring alignment with Dubai Health’s tone, values, and brand promise.

  • Crisis & Reputation Management

o Play a central role in crisis communication planning and execution, including media response strategies, escalation protocols, and stakeholder coordination.

o Anticipate reputational risks through media monitoring, issue tracking, and sentiment analysis, providing early warnings and mitigation recommendations.

o Support the development and regular updating of crisis playbooks, media response templates, and spokesperson guidelines.

  • Content & Campaign Integration

o Collaborate closely with internal communications, marketing, and brand teams to ensure integrated messaging across channels.

o Support major campaigns, announcements, and launches, ensuring media narratives are embedded from the outset.

o Review and guide the development of press materials, speeches, opinion pieces, and communication assets to ensure accuracy, impact, and strategic coherence.

  • Media Intelligence & Performance Measurement

o Oversee comprehensive media monitoring and analysis across print, broadcast, digital, and social platforms.

o Translate media data into strategic insights, including reputation trends, share of voice, message pull-through, and leadership visibility.

o Prepare executive-level reports and dashboards with clear recommendations to inform decision-making and communication strategy refinement.

  • Stakeholder & Partner Management

o Act as a key liaison with Dubai Media Office, external agencies, and strategic partners, ensuring alignment, quality, and timely delivery.

o Lead media-related agency briefings, evaluate outputs, and ensure deliverables meet strategic and reputational standards.

o Coordinate media engagement for high-profile events, official visits, forums, and conferences involving senior leadership.

  • Governance, Quality & Compliance

o Ensure all media engagement adheres to organizational policies, cultural sensitivities, regulatory frameworks, and government communication standards.

o Contribute to the development and enforcement of media governance frameworks, approval processes, and spokesperson protocols.

  • Team Leadership & Capability Building

o Mentor and guide junior media relations team members, providing hands-on coaching, feedback, and quality control.

o Support talent development by sharing best practices, building media relations playbooks, and contributing to training initiatives.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in communications, Public Relations, Journalism, or a related field.
