Our Communities, Energy and Infrastructure (CE&I) practice engages with leaders in energy and utility clients to successfully navigate the energy transition. We work across value chains creating decarbonisation strategies and helping drive forward solutions including demand response/flexibility, energy and water efficiency, smarter electricity grids and infrastructure, climate resilience and adaptation strategies and business transformation.

The UAE team is part of an integrated international business at Guidehouse, combining the UK, European, UAE and Canadian teams under the EMEC business segment.

What You Will Do As a Consultant at Guidehouse you will be working in a team, advising our clients on how they can best navigate the challenges and opportunities associated with the energy transition. In this role you will:

  • Create meaningful impact for our clients from projects on topics such as: decarbonisation pathways for transport, industry and heat, electricity and water network innovation, climate risk, mitigation and adaptation, flexibility markets, net-zero business model opportunities, energy efficiency, whole system solutions across electricity, water, and gas, network asset management, and infrastructure development.
  • Perform industry research, engage internal and external stakeholders, prepare client deliverables, and present findings to your project team and clients.
  • Synthesise data into clear analyses and provide fact-based recommendations and solutions for drafting summary reports and presentations.
  • Support the development of plans to implement the recommendations and solutions proposed.
  • Support the development of client proposals and other business development activities.
  • Collaborate with Guidehouse colleagues globally and in related teams including those with a Public Sector and with a Sustainability focus.

What You Will Need

  • Relevant undergraduate degree (e.g., engineering, energy, economics, mathematics, international business, physical sciences etc.).
  • 1 (ONE) or more years of working experience in related fields.
  • A strong curiosity, and/or experience, in a relevant industry topic such as: power systems, renewable energy integration, industry decarbonization, flexibility markets, electricity transmission & distribution planning, climate risk, mitigation & adaptation, the importance of water efficiency and innovation in the energy transition, low carbon gas o
