Electrical Engineer

The Electrical Engineer is responsible for designing, planning, supervising, and maintaining electrical systems and installations for projects. The role ensures that all electrical works are executed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with project specifications, industry standards, and local regulations. The Electrical Engineer also coordinates with clients, consultants, contractors, and internal departments to ensure timely project completion and quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and review electrical systems for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Prepare electrical drawings, load calculations, technical specifications, and material submittals.
• Supervise electrical installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance activities.
• Ensure all electrical works comply with project specifications, safety regulations, and applicable electrical codes.
• Coordinate with project managers, consultants, architects, civil engineers, and MEP teams.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor progress, workmanship, and quality standards.
• Review contractor and supplier submissions, shop drawings, and technical documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and provide practical engineering solutions.
• Prepare project schedules and monitor progress to ensure timely completion.
• Assist in project planning, budgeting, and cost control.
• Evaluate material requirements and ensure timely procurement.
• Prepare inspection reports, progress reports, and project documentation.
• Support testing and commissioning activities and ensure successful project handover.
• Ensure compliance with company quality, health, safety, and environmental (QHSE) policies.
• Stay updated with new technologies, electrical standards, and engineering best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Professional engineering certification or relevant licenses are an advantage.
• UAE driving license is preferred for site-based roles.

Experience

• 3–8 years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in construction, MEP, contracting, or industrial projects.
• Experience in electrical design, installation, testing, commissioning, and project execution.
• GCC/UAE experience is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in AutoCAD and electrical design software.
• Knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, lighting, control systems, and LV/MV installations.
• Familiarity with relevant electrical standards and local authority regulations.
• Strong understanding of testing and commissioning procedures.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
