Description

SDR & GPU Acceleration Engineer

Do you want to face new challenges without giving up the stability of a highly experienced technology group?

At GMV we are looking for a SDR & GPU Acceleration Engineer to support the development of an advanced End-to-End (E2E) Verification and Validation (V&V) environment for next-generation Earth Observation (EO) and Satellite Communication (SatCom) systems.

We´ll get to the point; we'll tell you what's not on the web. If you want to know more about us go to GMV website

WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

In our team you will play a leading technical role in the design, implementation, and optimization of software-defined communication systems, accelerated digital signal processing pipelines, and high-performance data processing architectures.

Your main tasks will be:

  • Lead the design and implementation of software-defined modem and protocol processing solutions for high-rate satellite communication systems.
  • Develop and optimize PHY and MAC layer processing chains for next-generation SatCom and wireless communication technologies.
  • Design GPU-accelerated digital signal processing pipelines for modulation, demodulation, synchronization, forward error correction, framing, packet processing, and signal analytics.
  • Contribute to the development of scalable software architectures for multi-gigabit communication services and advanced payload processing applications.
  • Integrate and evaluate SDR platforms, RF front ends, real-time digital systems, networking infrastructures, and hardware-accelerated processing platforms within end-to-end validation environments.
  • Design low-latency, high-throughput processing solutions using GPUs and heterogeneous computing architectures.
  • Support the integration and assessment of DPU-based technologies for networking, security, traffic processing, and data acceleration.
  • Plan and execute Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) testing, interoperability campaigns, performance evaluations, and technology validation activities.
  • Develop test automation frameworks, performance monitoring solutions, and benchmarking tools for advanced communication systems.
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and contribute to architectural and technical decisions.
  • Support technical documentation, customer interactions, demonstrations, and project reviews.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

We are looking for experts in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline with background and interest in telecommunications, SDR development, wireless communications, digital signal processing, or high-performance computing.

Here is what we are looking for:

  • Strong experience in Software Defined Radio (SDR) architectures and digital communication systems.
  • Solid understanding of PHY and MAC layer protocols, including implementation and communication system design.
  • Advanced knowledge of digital signal processing (DSP) techniques, including modulation, coding, synchronization, channel estimation, filtering, and waveform processing.
  • Strong programming skills in C/C++ and Python, with experience in developing complex software systems.
  • Practical experience with GPU programming, parallel processing concepts, and GPU acceleration frameworks such as NVIDIA CUDA.
  • Knowledge of performance optimization techniques for compute- and data-intensive applications.
  • Experience working with Linux-based development environments and software integration activities.
  • Familiarity with high-speed networking technologies and communication protocols.
  • Experience in system integration, debugging, testing, and performance evaluation of complex software-intensive systems.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in multidisciplinary engineering teams.
