HR Assistant 24 – 32 hours

We are looking for a new addition to our HR team at the European Distribution Center in Born. For now, the role is temporary until 31-10-2026 however in case of good performance it might become a longer term role.

As an HR Assistant you will support in execution and follow up of all HR administrative tasks on an operational level for Helly Hansen Distribution BV and Helly Hansen Benelux BV. The HR Assistant thereby acts as the first point of contact for all HR related questions for employees and works closely with our HR Consultant on a wide range of administrative tasks. You will report directly to the HR Manager EDC Born and Benelux.

What will you do?

  • Ensures and timely, complete and legally correct personnel files and recording of appointments and planning interviews. This also includes timely notification of expiring contracts and other matters.
  • Assists with preparing data necessary for correct payroll administration.
  • Ensures correct preparation of documentation for onboarding new employees.
  • Supports recruitment campaigns in terms of organisation and registration, such as maintaining our vacancies portal and posting new positions online. This task area also includes scheduling selection interviews and collecting feedback and providing progress updates to candidates.
  • Maintains the HRIS system (ADP and Workday) in the form of entering new employees and terminating employees who leave employment. We use Workday for online training, so you will assist employees in case of questions regarding their assigned trainings.
  • Supports in the administration for absenteeism according to the Wet Verbetering Poortwachter and is responsible for a timely and complete absenteeism file in our registration system. Contacts occupational health supplier (arbodienst) to support progress in absentee cases.
  • Takes care of the correct and timely delivery of data and mutations for employee benefits such as employee insurances and pensions.
  • Supports ongoing projects in terms of planning and support. We are currently in the process of alignment of processes and systems with our owner Kontoor Brands which results in several different projects that need admin support.
  • Preparing the quarterly Helly Hansen newsletter.

What do you need?

  • MBO+ work and thinking level
  • Fluent in English and Dutch. English is necessary because we are an international organisation with more than 20 different nationalities. Dutch is necessary because at HR we work with Dutch legislation and some Dutch systems, plus external providers such as the UWV, Belast
