Position Summary
As a Training Specialist within the Assembly Accelerator Team, you will play a key role in optimizing onboarding, upskilling, and cross-training initiatives for our manufacturing and assembly workforce. You will support continuous improvement by designing and delivering hands-on, process-based training that accelerates employee readiness and operational excellence. This is a highly collaborative role working across engineering, production, quality, and training functions to build a scalable and efficient workforce.
Key Responsibilities:
Training Development & Design
- Update technical training programs for assembly processes, work instructions, and tooling.
- Create engaging, practical learning content tailored to adult learners in a manufacturing/assembly environment.
- Standardize training content across production lines and facilities in collaboration with SMEs and process engineers.
- focus on clean working / employee.
Training Delivery & Facilitation
- Deliver in-person, on-the-floor, and classroom-based training for new hires and existing team members.
- Conduct hands-on training and certifications for key assembly procedures and competencies.
- Facilitate cross-training initiatives to increase workforce flexibility.
- Performance & Quality Support
- Monitor trainee performance and readiness during and after onboarding.
- Collect feedback and training metrics to improve training effectiveness and reduce ramp-up time.
- Support quality initiatives by ensuring procedural adherence and reinforcing right-first-time behavior.
Documentation & Systems
- Maintain accurate training records using the Skill matrix, and be sure that this is up-to-date.
- Ensure all training content is current, version-controlled, and aligned with regulatory and quality requirements.
- Collaborate with document control teams to align training with released documentation.
