Could you be the VIE RAMS Engineer in Hennigsdorf, Germany, we’re looking for?
Your future role
Take on a new challenge and apply your safety and reliability expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside a highly motivated and skilled team of engineers who are committed to excellence and collaboration.
You'll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our new state-of-the-art train, which meets challenging safety and reliability requirements. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business, including architecture, hardware, and software engineering teams, to implement safety and reliability requirements, address feedback from customers and independent parties, and much more.
You’ll specifically take care of performing safety and reliability analyses (such as Hazard Analysis, FMECA, and FTA), but also contribute to the development of safety cases and the assessment of product safety and reliability performance.
We’ll look to you for:
- Performing safety and reliability analyses (Hazard Analysis, FMECA, FTA) as per applicable instructions and processes
- Identifying and defining safety and reliability requirements to meet safety targets
- Supporting engineering teams (architecture, hardware, software) in implementing safety and reliability requirements
- Addressing comments from customers and independent parties (ISA, NoBo, DeBo, AsBo) to secure approval of safety deliverables
- Contributing to the development and approval of the Safety Case
- Ensuring compliance with Alstom Transport Safety policy and industry standards

- Degree in Engineering (e.g., electronic, electric, automation) or equivalent – you will be trained to safety and reliability competency
- Experience with safety and reliability analysis and demonstration methods (FME(C)A, FTA, etc.)
- Knowledge of Electrical and/or Electro-mechanical Engineering
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Structured and organised way of working with a hands-on approach
- Fluency in English (mandatory); German language skills are beneficial
- A commitment to continuous learning and adaptability
