THE ROLE AND YOUR IMPACT AT DOTT Full-time, permanent, travelling to warehouses is required.

Dott runs warehouse and micromobility operations across more than ten European markets. Keeping our people, sites and partners safe is part of our daily mission and our Health & Safety function sits at the centre of that. We're hiring a Health & Safety Manager to own occupational safety, fire safety and dangerous-goods compliance for DACH and other European operations, while helping shape standards that apply group-wide.

This is a builder role in a lean, expert team: you'll inherit established frameworks and be expected to localise, improve, scale and enforce them—not just maintain them.

What You'll Do

  • Act as the primary Health & Safety contact for employees and management in for DACH and other European markets’, and the first point of contact for local authorities, inspectors and auditors (Gewerbeaufsicht, Berufsgenossenschaft, fire department, etc.).
  • Adapt our global H&S frameworks to meet local requirements (DACH and other markets).
  • Develop and maintain processes, procedures and SOPs adapted to our warehouse and street operations — covering charging, battery management, building & driving safety, first aid, fire safety, wellbeing, and our 3PL partners.
  • Own fire safety standards in our warehouses and drive lithium-battery / thermal-runaway risk management.
  • Conduct and review risk assessments, including hazardous-substances (Gefährdungsbeurteilung) and psychological stress risk assessments.
  • Run our site-audit programme internal warehouse self-audits and third-party (3PL) operator audits against our compliance framework, and drive corrective actions to closure.
  • Manage incidents end-to-end: root-cause analysis, corrective/preventive action plans, and reporting through our incident tooling.
  • Plan and deliver H&S trainings for frontline staff and managers, and build strong working relationships with local teams to ensure measures are implemented smoothly on the ground.
  • Monitor changing H&S, fire and dangerous-goods regulation across markets and translate it into enforceable internal standards.
  • Maintain our H&S documentation and standards in Notion, and use Slack, Jira and Google Workspace day-to-day.
  • Ideal: serve as our appointed Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (Gefahrgutbeauftragter / DGSA under ADR) for lithium-battery transport and handling including training, documentation and the annual report.
  • Other H&S tasks as required to keep our people and sites safe.

Must-haves YOU’LL FIT GREAT WITH THESE SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional fluency in English (German is a plus)
  • A recognised occupational H&S qualification — Fachkraft für Arbeitssicherheit (Sifa), NEBOSH, IOSH, other).
  • Minimum 2-3 years of HSE experience in a similar multi-site operational industry (logistics, warehousing, manufacturing).
  • Strong level of project and stakeholder management.
  • Good working knowledge of German and EU regulations on H&S, fire safety, dangerous-goods, chemicals.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to sites across the DACH region and Europe.
  • Comfortable working independently and on-site, and being the person who says "stop" when something
