Job description

Summary

  • To support Global Markets Singapore in the marketing and development of global market products to the Financial Institutions (FI) client business within Singapore and Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Keep abreast of market developments and understand the interactions between the different markets and asset classes. Assimilate the information and translate into trade ideas for the FI salesforce in day-to-day interactions with clients.
  • Assist the Head of FI Sales and the respective sales teams to prospect potential clients and provide strong support to the GMD teams in areas of cross-sell.
  • Support the FI sales team with enquiries pertaining to Treasury, foreign exchange, interest rates and credit products across the spectrum of cash and derivatives.
  • Assist the FI sales team to prospect potential clients and in the onboarding of new clients – KYC, account opening.
  • Assist in the preparation of business reports and presentations.
  • Assist in getting new products approved internally.
  • Undertake any other administrative duties related to GMD marketing, entertainment, Client live, pipeline and team budget.
  • Any other duties assigned such as end of day trade report checking etc.

Legal and Regulatory Responsibilities

  • Comply with all applicable legal, regulatory and internal Compliance requirements, including, but not limited to, the Singapore Compliance manual and Compliance policies and procedures as issued from time to time; Financial Security requirements, including, but not limited to, the prevention of Financial Crime and Fraud including reporting obligations to the Money Laundering Reporting Officer.
  • Comply with Local regulatory ratios.
  • Maintain appropriate knowledge to ensure to be fully qualified to undertake the role.
  • Complete all mandatory training as required to attain and maintain competence.

Role Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Banking and Finance, Business Administration or any finance-related specialization will be preferred.
  • Relevant prior internship or work experience in financial/ global markets within Banks or Financial Institutions.
  • Motivated, a good communicator and team player.
  • IT literate and mathematically minded.
