Job Summary

The Sales Manager is responsible for driving the company’s retail and online bakery sales growth through effective sales planning, customer engagement, promotional activities, and business development initiatives. The role includes managing online sales platforms, coordinating sales campaigns, building customer relationships, and identifying opportunities to increase revenue and market presence.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales strategies for retail, corporate, and online bakery sales
  • Manage online sales channels including food delivery and e-commerce platforms
  • Coordinate promotional campaigns, festive sales activities, and customer engagement initiatives
  • Build and maintain relationships with customers, corporate clients, and business partners
  • Identify new business opportunities and partnership collaborations
  • Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance and revenue targets
  • Analyze customer purchasing trends and market opportunities
  • Coordinate with marketing teams on branding and promotional campaigns
  • Work closely with operations and production teams to align product availability with sales demand
  • Manage customer enquiries, quotations, and bulk order coordination
  • Improve customer retention and repeat purchase strategies
  • Prepare sales reports, forecasts, and business performance updates for management review
  • Monitor competitor activities and industry developments within the bakery market
  • Recommend improvements to sales processes, customer outreach, and business development strategies
  • Support expansion of online sales and digital customer acquisition initiatives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Sales, Marketing, Food Industry Management, or a related field.
  • A relevant diploma or certification in sales, digital marketing, or bakery management is a plus.
  • Certified Sales Professional (CSP) or similar sales certifications preferred.
  • Digital marketing or e-commerce certifications are advantageous.
  • Industry-specific certifications related to food safety, bakery management, or customer service are a plus.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of proven sales experience, preferably in the bakery, food, or retail industry.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing online sales channels, e-commerce platforms, and digital marketing campaigns.
  • Prior experience in business development, customer relationship management, and promotional activities.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams including marketing, operations, and production.
