Reporting to the COO, Technology provides digital tools, software services and infrastructure globally to all business groups. Software development and support teams work in agile ‘streams' aligned to specific business areas. Our other teams work enterprise-wide to provide critical services including our global service desk, network and system infrastructure, IT operations, security, enterprise architecture and design.

Role Summary

The Network team is responsible for the overall design, implementation, operation and maintenance of the Global network infrastructure. To provide support for the wider technology group and to ensure technical requirements are delivered as per mandated by the Network and Technology group. A thorough understanding of global network operations, and security best practices aligned with financial compliance and regulations, is important to the overall success of the team and business.

We are seeking an engineer with a passion for automation and scripting to enhance and streamline our operations and engineering practices. The ideal candidate will leverage one or more scripting languages, Ansible, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools to automate our configurations, monitoring, and troubleshooting.

Overall Responsibilities

• Maintenance of the Marex Network.
• Operational support for all network related issues.
• Implementation of new network requirements/changes.
• Procuring equipment and managing of vendors.
• Support network maintenance activities, internal and third parties.
• Reporting network status to key stakeholders.
• Ability to work flexible hours

Skills and Experience

Previous experience of working in the banking/finance industry is highly desirable.

Qualifications: #CCNP, JNCIP, JNCIS, PCNSE or equivalent certification is desirable.

Network WAN Technologies:

• MPLS, IPSEC VPN, SD-WAN, QOS, NAT

Routing and Switching protocols:

• BGP/OSPF/EIGRP.
• Wifi, STP, RSTP, VLAN, HSRP, VRRP, VRF, MLAG, Etherchannel, Multicast PIM Sparse and dense mode.

Security:

• NextGen Layer 7 firewalling, User-ID, SSL decryption, Network Access Control, Radius/TACACS.
