Job description

GSK Saudi Arabia is committed to supporting Vision 2030 and the Saudi Arabian National Agenda including Saudization in line with the hiring and the training and development of Saudi National capability.

As Market Access Lead you will lead market access activities in Saudi Arabia to secure sustainable patient access across public and private healthcare settings. You will work closely with cross-functional colleagues, payers, government bodies and healthcare professionals.

Further responsibilities include some of the following:

  • Develop and implement national market access strategies and plans that support launch readiness and long-term access.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with public payers, private insurers, hospital procurement teams and other local stakeholders.
  • Identify access barriers and design practical, evidence-led solutions, including local pilots or partnership programs.
  • Lead preparation of reimbursement dossiers, value stories and evidence summaries aligned with local and regional needs.
  • Provide regular market and payer insights to inform commercial, medical and policy decisions.
  • Work across functions to ensure coordinated execution and compliance during negotiations, tenders and contracting processes.

This is partly a field based role in Saudi Arabia with some traveling across the country and occasional regional engagement.

Why You?

Basic Qualifications & Skills:

We are seeking professionals with the following required skills and qualifications to help us achieve our goals:

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, life sciences, health economics, public health, or a related field.
  • 2–3 years of experience in pharmaceutical market access, government affairs, or commercial roles (e.g., sales representative, key account manager, product specialist) within the healthcare or pharma industry.
  • Saudi national
  • Fluent Arabic and good working proficiency in English.
  • Basic understanding of the Saudi healthcare system, including public sector payers, hospital procurement, or private insurers.
  • Exposure to tender processes, account management, or payer-facing activities is an advantage.
  • Demonstrated ability or strong interest in building relationships with healthcare stakeholders (e.g., hospital accounts, procurement, or decision makers).
  • Good analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and contribute to value communication and business cases.

Preferred Qualifications & Skills:

If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus:

  • Advanced degree in health economics, business or pharmacy.
  • Experience preparing reimbursement submissions, health economic models or budget impact analyses.
  • Existing network with Saudi health authorities, national procurement bodies or major hospitals.
  • Experience managing tenders, pricing or contracting in the public sector.
  • Previous work in vaccines, specialty medicines, or large pharmaceutical companies.
