Job description

We are currently looking for a:

Train Validation Engineer

to support train-level validation activities in a railway environment. The role focuses on ensuring the quality, safety, and compliance of validation activities , with a strong hands-on approach to defining and executing tests and test cases in collaboration with stakeholders. The ideal candidate brings solid experience in train and metro projects and is comfortable working across multiple technical and project interfaces. The role is centered on defining and executing train-level/type tests, coordinating validation activities, and working closely with engineering teams, project teams, external laboratories, and end customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define, prepare, and execute train-level validation tests and test cases in alignment with project and stakeholder requirements
  • Develop validation plans, procedures, and associated reports
  • Plan and coordinate type tests and validation activities across the project lifecycle
  • Ensure quality, cost, and delivery (QCD) targets for train validation activities
  • Ensure safety during testing activities and support compliance with railway validation standards and project requirements
  • Coordinate with internal test teams, external test laboratories, engineering teams, project teams, and customers
  • Contribute to troubleshooting, validation issue resolution, and continuous improvement of validation methodologies
  • Maintain effective communication with internal and external stakeholders throughout the validation process.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 8 years of experience in testing and validation activities in the railway sector .
  • Professional proficiency in French and English
  • Proven hands-on experience in defining tests/test cases and driving validation activities with stakeholders
  • Mandatory experience in train and metro projects
  • Solid experience in planning and managing validation activities in complex technical environments
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple interfaces
  • Strong focus on safety and quality.
