Data Centre Design Specialist (DC Layout / Banking)

We are looking to hire a Data Centre (Design) Specialist in Singapore to support our client, a top global investment bank . The ideal candidate will have relevant experience working on Data Centre design / layout.

Responsibilities:

• Work on the design and planning of Data Centre Halls with a focus on space optimization, power and cooling infrastructure.
• Work closely with vendors and DCO Engineers to align on deliverables and ensure accurate implementation
• Analyse and provide feedback on Data Centre hall plan / layout, ensuring alignment to operational and technical requirements
• Engage and collaborate with internal stakeholders, share findings and proposed plans clearly and effectively
• Identify potential risks and inefficiencies in the data centre design and propose solutions for improvement.
• Evaluate technologies proposed by vendors and assess suitability against current and emerging data center technologies

Required Skills:

• Education Background in computer science, information technology, and/or engineering field
• Possess relevant experience working on Data Centre design
• Knowledge of Data Centre power systems and cooling mechanisms
• Experience of Data Centre capacity management will be advantageous
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability collaborate effectively with partner teams, vendors and stakeholders
• Proficiency in designing tools such as AutoCAD will be an advantage
