Job Summary

This role is responsible for providing expert-level operational management and technical leadership for Oracle Exadata and Oracle Database Administration within converged infrastructure environments. The individual ensures operational excellence, drives continuous improvement, and empowers technical teams to deliver superior support and solutions for complex, large-scale projects. They champion innovation, problem-solving, and adherence to client SLAs, directly impacting business outcomes and organizational efficiency.

Responsibilities Experience in Supporting & implementing solution in mentioned areas: Experience in managing oracle databases – 12c,19c. Upgrade and manage new oracle database versions. Install, and Patch Oracle Databases. Create and configure oracle database – Prod, Non-Prod Environment. Configure database native HADR solution i.e. Oracle Data Guard. Perform Test Drills to validate Database backup and restore. Configure database backup as per backup policies. Install and Configure database monitoring tools – Alerts and Metrices. Database user life cycle management – Creating, providing access, delete. Manage database schema, objects and users’ security. Support database and data migration Monitor, analyse and resolve Database performance issues. Day to Day database maintenance tasks i.e. Database Jobs, Monitoring Alerts and Logs, Database objects, database statistics status. Restore and refresh database as per request. Work with cross functional and application team to support database activities. Deploy approved Scripts provided by Application team. Responsible for providing end-to-end operations support for Oracle through monitoring, incident response, and incident resolution. Participating in root cause analysis on incidents to ensure issues around are acted up on in a timely manner. Understanding of ITIL framework of ticketing /Problem ticket/Change process, Emergency change Work on Service Improvement Plan and Innovations. Troubleshooting complex and business critical issues. Work on team skill enhancement and training need identification. Coordinate with vendor and other cross functional teams to understand and solve the issues. Creating best practice documents, known error records, knowledgebase articles etc. Maintain Agreed SLA’s Provide reports as agreed in SOW.
