As a Mendix Software Engineer at Hydro, you will become part of a young and dynamic team. We are an international group of seven developers who highly value collaboration, integrity, and fostering a warm, open working environment.

What you will be doing

Design, develop, and maintain applications using the Mendix platform

Take technical ownership of one of our flagship applications

Collaborate with product owners, business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements

Translate business requirements into technical specifications and solutions

Ensure the quality and performance of applications through testing and debugging

Troubleshoot and resolve application issues in a timely manner

Document application designs, processes, and technical specifications

Participate in code reviews and provide feedback to peers

Contribute to Hydro’s internal Mendix Framework by improving and upholding best practices

What will make you successful?

2–3+ years of experience in software development, with proven hands-on experience working with the Mendix platform

Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, development standards, and best practices

Experience working in Agile development environments

Experience in an international or multi-cultural corporate environment is an advantage

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business & IT, or a related field

Mendix Advanced certification, or the willingness and motivation to obtain it in the near future

Knowledge of cloud technologies, such as Microsoft Azure and Mendix Cloud

Familiarity with Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or other relevant programming languages is a plus

Strong technical skills in application development, support, and maintenance

Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage priorities effectively

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Excellent co
