Risk Governance, Monitoring & Reporting JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Risk Governance & Frameworks • Oversee the review and development of risk policies, procedures, and methodologies, ensuring alignment with local regulations, industry best practices, and business needs. • Partner closely with Product and Business Heads within Global Banking Singapore to support new business initiatives within approved risk parameters. • Advise stakeholders to ensure appropriate risk-return balance and sound risk frameworks are in place. Risk Monitoring & Reporting • Establish and oversee infrastructure to enable timely and accurate monitoring, assessment, and reporting of key risks. • Escalate non-compliance and areas of concern to the Head of Business Risk and Head, GB, and ensure timely corrective actions. • Support engagement with regulators to strengthen relationships and enhance the Bank’s risk profile. Risk Culture & Advisory • Drive risk training and knowledge management initiatives across Global Banking. • Facilitate regular engagements with business teams to promote risk awareness and alignment with business objectives. • Represent Maybank Global Banking Singapore in risk projects and industry forums on first line risk management practices and procedures. Requirements • Strong experience in risk management within corporate or investment banking, preferably with exposure to Global Banking businesses. • Deep understanding of enterprise, credit, and operational risk frameworks and regulatory expectations. • Proven ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders across business and risk functions. • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate complex risk concepts into actionable insights.
