Job description

Kora is a global fiat and stablecoin payment infrastructure - the rails that financial institutions, fintechs, and enterprises use to move money across borders reliably and at scale. We started in Africa. We operate across multiple markets. We are now expanding into Asia, building the corridors that connect Africa and Asia at the infrastructure level.

We are not a payments app. We are not a wallet. We are the layer underneath: the settlement infrastructure, the compliance engine, the connectivity that makes cross-border payments work for the companies that build on top of us.

Our vision, which is at the core of what we do every day, is to create a world void of digital financial barriers. We are committed to delivering reliable, secure, and easy-to-use digital financial solutions to every single customer with a guarantee that it is improving their lives. To achieve this mission, we need people like you.

We strongly believe in our ability to find Water in the Desert and pick the Sands in the Ocean.

We value positive energy and clear communication, and are committed to building an inclusive environment for people from every background.

Requirements About the Role

We're hiring a Senior Product Manager to lead product development for our APAC expansion at Kora. As one of Africa's leading payment infrastructure companies, we're now extending our fiat and stablecoin rails into Asia, and we need a Product Manager who can build payment experiences that work for the region's complexity.

In this role, you'll own the strategy and execution for pay-in and payout products across key APAC markets, including Singapore, Hong Kong, and China. You'll optimise existing payment methods, build new ones, and shape how global businesses move money in and out of the region.

Product Managers at Kora own the end-to-end problem they're solving. You'll develop and execute a product strategy that enables seamless payment experiences for merchants operating across borders, and directly shape how businesses access one of the world's most dynamic payment landscapes.

What you'll be doing

  • Own the product strategy and roadmap for pay-ins and payouts across APAC markets, aligned with Kora's regional expansion goals.
  • Deeply understand user needs through research, market immersion, and direct merchant conversations, then advocate for those needs throughout the build cycle.
  • Partner with engineering and design to discover solutions, ship products, and iterate based on what you learn in the market.
  • Define and drive roadmaps, project plans, and precise product specifications that consistently deliver quality.
  • Navigate the regulatory and payment-scheme nuances of APAC markets, working closely with legal, compliance, and local partners to ensure products launch cleanly.
  • Lead successful launches by collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, merchant success, sales, operations, legal, and compliance teams.
  • Use qualitative and quantitative signals, user research, experiments, and analytics to make sharp, evidence-based decisions.

Here's what we're looking for:

  • 5+ years in product management, with a track record of shipping impactful products (senior-level scope; we expect more strategic ownership).
  • Proven experience building payment products in fintech, ideally pay-ins, payouts, or cross-border infrastructure.
  • Direct experience building for or operating in APAC markets. Familiarity with local payment methods (e.g., PayNow, FPS, Alipay, WeChat Pay, UnionPay) and the regulatory environments of Singapore, Hong Kong, and/or mainland China is strongly preferred.
  • Strong strategic thinking and the ability to bring clarity to ambiguous, complex problems.
  • Solid technical foundation, you understand how software is built and operated, and you've worked on technical products.
  • Strong customer empathy, with experience shaping product direction through research, user interviews, and A/B testing.
  • Excellen
