About the Role
Come and join our team! We are a dedicated and committed team of HR Business Partners supporting the mission of the NUS Faculty of Law.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a key member of the HR Partnering team at NUS Law, you will partner with and support business line heads and managers through a proactive and consultative approach across the full spectrum of HR functions, including Talent Acquisition, Staff Retention, Compensation, Performance Management, as well as Talent Management and Development.
Your main responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Partner and engage with academic leaders, business line heads and managers in a proactive and consultative manner to manage the full spectrum of HR functions, including Talent Acquisition, Staff Retention, Compensation, Performance Management, as well as Talent Management and Development.
- Partner with the Centres of Excellence (COEs) to review, develop, implement and administer the University’s rewards and benefits programmes.
- Serve as a key point of contact for employee relations matters by providing accurate assessments of situations and sound HR advice to business units.
- Supervise and coach team members on daily operational tasks to ensure the smooth delivery of HR services.
- Manage multiple priorities and workloads during peak periods, while planning and coordinating appropriate backup resources.
- Undertake other ad-hoc tasks and projects as assigned, contributing to continuous improvement and operational excellence across HR functions. Qualifications
- A recognised Bachelor’s degree, preferably with a specialisation in Human Resource Management.
- At least 8 years of relevant working experience, preferably as an HR Business Partner, with experience in talent acquisition and/or performance management.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to relate well to people at all levels and a strong service orientation.
- High IT literacy, with strong numerical and analytical skills.
- Proficient in MS Office applications, including MS Excel.
- Good command of written and spoken English.
- Resourceful and self-driven, with a high degree of professional integrity.
- Good knowledge and experience in talent attraction, acquisition, development and retention.
- Strong people management skills.
- Positive work attitude and a keen willingness to learn, with a “can-do” mindset.
- Team player, able to consider the interests of the team and the University.
- Meticulous, able to work well under pressure and committed to meeting tight deadlines.
