The Energy Studies Institute (ESI) is a research institute at the National University of Singapore seeking to advance the understanding of energy policy issues by conducting independent research and analysis.

Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and creative Communications Manager to elevate ESI’s visibility and impact within the energy sector. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and delivering ESI’s communications strategy, working closely with internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, curate and manage ESI’s website content, including publications, posts and highlights.
  • Edit, develop, and manage ESI publications to expand the institute’s reach and influence across key audiences.
  • Transform complex policy and research content into engaging, reader-friendly formats for wider accessibility.
  • Organise, promote, and provide communications support for ESI events, seminars, and conferences.
  • Manage ESI’s social media presence, including content creation, posting, and community engagement.
  • Create, curate, and circulate high-quality content tailored for ESI’s readers, subscribers, and stakeholders.
  • Strengthen partnerships with media outlets to secure opportunities for expert interviews, thought leadership articles, and media coverage. Requirements

  • Proven experience in communications, public relations, or journalism, ideally within the policy, academic, or energy sectors.
  • Excellent writing, editing, and content development skills.
  • Strong organisational and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in digital and social media platforms.
  • Ability to distil complex research into clear, engaging communications tailored to diverse stakeholder audiences.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team. Application Process
