Job Title: Senior Executive/ Assistant Manager, Research Office (School of Computing) University-Level Unit: School of Computing Faculty/Department-Level Unit: Dean's Office (School of Computing) Employee Category: Executive & Administrative Posting Start Date: 27/01/2026 Location_ONB: Kent Ridge Campus Job Description

The candidate reports to the Head of the NUS School of Computing Research Office and works closely with the research grant administration team to manage both internally funded as well as externally funded research grants from government agencies and industries. The candidate will receive training and the opportunity to carry out assignments in the following areas:

  • Serve as the main point of contact for coordinating, preparing, and submitting research proposals, agreements, budget plans, and project reports to stakeholders and funding bodies.
  • Handle the submission of applications to grant calls, and liaise with grantors and relevant offices regarding the acceptance of funding.
  • Administer research project funds, monitor their utilisation, reconcile account statements, and provide periodic updates.
  • Coordinate with grantors, monitor fund receipts, prepare documentation for audit, and process payments and claims.
  • Coordinate the appointments of research staff and the engagement of students and visitors.
  • Liaise with researchers and vendors on the procurement of goods and services, and the processing of related payments.
  • Serve as the meeting secretariat, coordinating meeting arrangements and preparing presentation materials.
  • Responsible for event publicity, logistics preparation, and post-event wrap-up.
  • Support the Vice Dean (Research) in collaborating with relevant offices to streamline operations and processes. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree with at least 5 years of work experience or Polytechnic Diploma with 10 years of work experience in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Analytical, numerate, resourceful and energetic.
  • Able to multi-task and deliver under tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrate initiative and strong communication skills.
  • Strong customer service orientation. More Information
