Job description
Job Summary:
WISKOTS is seeking a practical and organized Supply Chain Coordinator to support the planning, procurement, inventory, logistics, and delivery of materials, tools, equipment, spare parts, and consumables required for company operations and projects.
The position will coordinate material requirements, prepare and follow up Purchase Orders, communicate with suppliers, maintain inventory records, organize deliveries and transfers, and support the timely availability of operational and project requirements.
The role may also provide limited day-to-day task coordination to storekeepers, drivers, helpers, or other assigned support personnel.
Main Responsibilities:
• Coordinate material, equipment, tool, spare-part, and consumable requirements with relevant departments.
• Check available stock before processing or recommending new purchases.
• Maintain records of material requirements, pending Purchase Orders, expected deliveries, shortages, and outstanding items.
• Request supplier quotations when authorized and follow up for timely submission.
• Review basic quotation information, including descriptions, quantities, prices, delivery periods, payment terms, and validity.
• Prepare Purchase Orders based on approved requests, quotations, and management instructions.
• Ensure that Purchase Orders receive the required approval before issuance.
• Issue approved Purchase Orders and follow up with suppliers regarding order acknowledgement and delivery.
• Receive, inspect, record, store, issue, return, and transfer materials and equipment against approved documentation.
• Maintain accurate stock records and participate in physical inventory counts and reconciliation.
• Monitor minimum, maximum, and reorder stock levels.
• Identify and report shortages, damaged items, obsolete stock, expired materials, and inventory discrepancies.
• Coordinate transportation, collection, dispatch, delivery, mobilization, and demobilization activities.
• Prepare and maintain delivery notes, dispatch records, packing lists, gate passes, transfer records, and return notes.
• Track deliveries until receipt is confirmed and report delays, losses, damage, or shortages.
• Maintain organized electronic and/or hard-copy records for purchasing, inventory, and logistics activities.
• Prepare routine supply-chain reports and status updates.
• Coordinate with Operations, Projects, Finance, QHSE, suppliers, drivers, transport providers, and site personnel.
• Comply with WISKOTS procedures, approval authorities, document-control requirements, and QHSE requirements.
Requirements
Experience:
• Minimum two years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Practical experience in inventory control, stores, warehousing, logistics, procurement support, or supply-chain coordination.
• Experience preparing or processing Purchase Orders.
• Experience coordinating suppliers, deliveries, transportation, and material requirements.
• Experience using inventory systems, ERP platforms, or similar applications is an advantage.
Qualifications: Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Warehousing, or a related discipline.
