The NUS Office of Alumni Relations (OAR) fosters a lifelong relationship between the National University of Singapore (NUS) and its alumni. It provides a platform for alumni to stay connected with the University and each other through various programmes, events, and networking opportunities. OAR supports alumni in their personal and professional development, encouraging their involvement in university initiatives and community service. By promoting a vibrant and engaged alumni network in Singapore and globally, OAR aims to strengthen the NUS community, enhance its reputation, and contribute to the university's mission of excellence in education, research, and service to society.

Job Description

  • Build and manage strategic partnerships with university and 3P stakeholders to identify new opportunities for engagement and partnerships.
  • Plan, coordinate, and deliver events and initiatives to create meaningful interactions and bring alumni together.
  • Conduct regular feedback to assess the effectiveness of programmes and identify areas for improvement.
  • Build and maintain lasting, meaningful connections with alumni and students through tailored outreach and engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • A good Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in stakeholder engagement and events management roles, preferably in a higher education setting.
  • Responsible for overseeing all aspects of event planning from conception to execution, including event design, budgeting, procurement, logistics, marketing, on-site execution and post-event evaluation.
  • Strong project management skills, with a "solution-oriented" mindset.
  • Familiarity with event management systems and, ideally, proficiency in using Canva to design marketing materials.
  • High adaptability and capable of working in a rapidly changing environment.
  • A natural connector and collaborator, with an outgoing personality and strong stakeholder management skills
  • Willingness to work after office hours and on weekends, when required.
