The AquaPolis Programme Office (APO) is seeking a highly motivated Senior Executive / Assistant Manager to join our Programme Office , supporting the communication and engagement efforts for Singapore’s tropical marine aquaculture R&D programme. This role is ideal for candidates with strong communications/marketing skills who wish to contribute to high-impact national R&D initiatives in food and aquaculture innovation.

Key Responsibilities

1. Content Creation and Communications Management

  • Create and produce engaging content across formats (e.g. articles, infographics, videos) for website, e-newsletters, and social media posts.
  • Oversee the Programme Office’s communications channels (website, e-newsletters, LinkedIn), ensuring regular content updates and layout improvements.
  • Collaborate with team members, researchers, and vendors on content projects.
  • Track channel engagement rates and refine strategies for better impact.
  • Maintain brand consistency across all communication channels.

2. Ecosystem Engagement Support

  • Support the Programme Director and Programme Manager in planning and hosting engagement events, including forums, symposiums, workshops and seminars.
  • Prepare event promotional materials and post-event coverage content to maximise exposure and engagement with the ecosystem.
  • Assist in administering surveys to collect feedback and recommendations from the ecosystem.

3. Financial & Administrative Support

  • Support the Programme Manager with financial tracking, fund utilisation reports and reimbursements.
  • Support procurement activities, including vendor sourcing, liaison and vendor payments in accordance with funding and university policies. Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in with at least 2-3 years of relevant experience.
  • Prior experience in communications, public relations, or marketing in a university or public agency setting.
  • Proficiency in design tools (e.g. Canva and Photoshop), Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; familiarity with SAP, Concur, or Power BI is an advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Interest in contributing to the growth of Singapore’s agrifood and R&D ecosystem. More Information
