Junior Data Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated  Junior Data Engineer  to join our growing data team. This is an

excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or an early-career professional with  0–2 years of

experience  who is passionate about data, analytics, and technology.

The ideal candidate should have a strong foundation in  SQL and Python , an eagerness to learn

modern data engineering technologies, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced

environment. You will work alongside senior engineers, analysts, and architects to build,

maintain, and optimize data pipelines that support business intelligence, analytics, and

operational reporting.

Key Responsibilities

Data Engineering & Development

• Develop, maintain, and support data pipelines and ETL/ELT processes.
• Write efficient SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data from various sources.
• Build and maintain data processing scripts using Python.
• Assist in integrating data from databases, APIs, files, and cloud-based sources.
• Support data migration, transformation, and cleansing initiatives.

Learning & Collaboration

• Participate in code reviews and team knowledge-sharing sessions.
• Learn and adopt data engineering best practices, standards, and tools.
• Collaborate with senior engineers to design scalable and maintainable solutions.
• Continuously improve technical skills and stay current with industry trends.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, Engineering,Mathematics, or a related field.

• 0–2 years of professional experience in data engineering, software engineering, analytics, or related fields.

• Recent graduates with relevant academic projects, internships, or certifications are encouraged to apply.

• Strong proficiency in:

1. SQL
2. Python

• Understanding of:

1. Relational databases
2. Data modeling fundamentals
3. ETL/ELT concepts
4. Data warehousing basics

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications

• Exposure to cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
• Familiarity with data engineering tools such as Databricks, Spark, Airflow, or similar technologies.
• Experience with Git or other version control systems.
• Understanding of basic data quality and governance concepts.
• Internship, capstone project, or coursework involving large datasets.
