Job description

This position will be supporting Logistic Manager for coordinating logistics activities across different value chains in the Southeast Asia region, focusing initially on ocean going vessels. In this position, coordination with the commercial team help to maximum the value of the trading books.

Main Accountabilities :

  • Coordinate with commercial team, destination office, Global Logistics/origin/shippers and freight on all shipment planning and issues.
  • Monitoring of the shipments at loading or discharge ports to ensure smooth execution and meet requirements, notify any potential or realized risks or issues to the Value Chain to resolve.
  • Create and updating all the shipments planning/changes
  • Coordinate with freight operation/destinations office/broker for any logistics or ad hocs issues
  • Vessels Acceptance – Liaise with port agent and freight on the vessel specifications are in conformance with load and discharge terminals and berths.
  • Approval of costs related to logistics for shipments – freight payment, inframar taxes, artificial sep, double berth costs etc.
  • Coordinate closely with execution teams and destination office on the shipment execution and sometimes issue related to laytime with laytime desk.
  • Coordinate with freight operation on the pre-stowage plan, changes in execution plan or arrival dates requirement, other miscellaneous like hatch sealing, artificial sep, BL cut off etc.
  • Ad hoc projects/reports in improvising or standardisation the efficiency of the logistics flows/execution

Requirement :

  • 1 to 3 years’ experience in logistics management in the commodity industry
  • BS/BA in Business, Management or related quantitative field.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, fast learning, detail oriented and hard working.
  • Strong in communication skill
  • Comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment and across multiple geographies
  • Excellent problem solving and technical skills
  • Team player
  • Able to work within an unstructured and ambiguous environment
