Trade & Commercial Performance
- Monitor and analyze trade performance against budget, forecast, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Track service utilization, cargo mix, yield, and revenue performance across assigned trade lanes.
- Monitor vessel space allocation and equipment utilization to support optimal cargo mix, service performance, and revenue generation.
- Identify opportunities to improve vessel utilization, contribution margins, and overall service profitability.
- Monitor Budget vs. Actual and Year-on-Year (YoY) performance, highlighting key trends, risks, and opportunities.
Pricing & Revenue Management
- Manage and respond to pricing requests and quotation approvals within established turnaround times.
- Support the execution of pricing strategies to maximize revenue, yield, and market competitiveness.
- Ensure compliance with pricing guidelines, tariff structures, and commercial policies.
- Monitor market developments, competitor activities, and freight rate movements to support pricing decisions.
Trade Development &Market Intelligence
- Liaise closely with overseas agents, regional offices, and internal stakeholders to support trade growth initiatives.
- Gather and analyze market intelligence, customer trends, and competitive information to identify business opportunities.
- Support the development and implementation of trade campaigns, service promotions, and revenue enhancement initiatives.
Planning & Reporting
- Support budgeting, forecasting, and business planning activities for assigned trades and services.
- Prepare regular trade performance reports, utilization analyses, and commercial recommendations for management review.
- Contribute to service reviews and strategic initiatives aimed at improving network performance and profitability.
Requirements
- Degree in Business, Maritime Studies, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years of experience in container shipping, preferably with a liner operator, shipping line, or NVOCC, involving trade management, pricing, revenue management, or commercial functions.
- Good understanding of container shipping operations, trade lanes, freight pricing, market dynamics, and commercial management principles.
- Familiarity with trade management concepts, including vessel utilization, equipment planning, freight pricing, and yield management.
- Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret performance data and market trends.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and reporting tools, with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced commercial environment.
- Self-motivated, results-driven team player with strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
