Biofuels Sustainability Analyst

Our client is a leading multinational Oil & Gas commodity trading company with a strong global presence. Due to business expansion, they are seeking a Biofuels Sustainability Analyst to join their team based in Singapore's CBD.

Reporting to the Manager, the successful candidate will be part of a team of four and will play a key role in ensuring that biofuels trading activities comply with applicable sustainability regulations and certification requirements. The incumbent will be responsible for the collection, verification, and maintenance of sustainability documentation, including Sustainability Declarations (SD) and Proof of Sustainability (PoS) records, while ensuring compliance with relevant certification schemes such as ISCC, RED II/III, and other regulatory frameworks. He / She will review sustainability declarations, chain-of-custody records, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy and completeness, as well as assist in the calculation and validation of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions data and sustainability metrics.

The role will also involve supporting sustainability audits and certification processes, conducting research on biofuels regulations and market developments, and working closely with traders and stakeholders across multiple regions to manage compliance risks and support business operations.

REQUIREMENTS

• Min a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Science, Economics, or a related field
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Only candidates with relevant internships or project experience within the Oil & Gas Commodity Trading firm / Energy Trading house will be considered
• Strong interest in renewable fuels, biofuels markets, carbon reduction initiatives, and sustainability regulations.
• Basic understanding of sustainability certification schemes such as ISCC, RED II/III, RSPO, or other renewable fuel compliance frameworks is preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a fast-paced, international business environment.
• Demonstrates a proactive attitude, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to learn about the biofuels and commodity trading industry.
