About the Role

Gilani Mobility LLC is seeking a highly skilled Technical Engineer – Automotive Installation & Documentation Specialist to support the development of technical installation manuals, work instructions, and user documentation for vehicle accessibility conversion systems.

This role is ideal for an engineer with a strong background in automotive or mechanical engineering who can interpret engineering drawings, understand assembly processes, and produce clear technical documentation that supports manufacturing, installation, and end-user operation.

Key Responsibilities

• Interpret 2D engineering drawings, 3D CAD models, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
• Develop logical assembly and installation procedures for vehicle conversion systems.
• Prepare detailed installation manuals and technical work instructions for workshop technicians.
• Document assembly processes, component positioning, fastening sequences, and inspection checkpoints.
• Create clear and user-friendly operating manuals for end users.
• Collaborate with engineering and production teams to verify installation procedures and technical accuracy.
• Produce and annotate technical illustrations, photographs, and exploded-view images to support documentation.
• Review and update technical documents in line with engineering revisions and product improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, CAD models, assembly drawings, and electrical schematics.
• Knowledge of automotive mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience preparing technical documentation, installation manuals, SOPs, or work instructions.
• Proficiency with CAD software or CAD viewing applications (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, eDrawings, or similar).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and technical writing skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively with engineering, production, and technical teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in automotive manufacturing, vehicle conversions, or product development.
• Familiarity with accessibility or mobility vehicle solutions is an advantage.
• Experience creating production or assembly documentation within an engineering environment.
• Basic knowledge of image editing software for technical illustrations is beneficial.
